Vision & Mission
Josephine Vision of Education
- Josephine Education envisions to work for the total development of the young. They are helped to discover their God-given potentials and work towards their fullest development in order to place them at the service of the society. It seeks to enable the young to search for the truth by training them to analyse reality, form critical judgements, search for solutions and work out a synthesis. It is concerned with forming a moral conscience that is capable of discerning what is good and choosing it.
- It pays attention to the development of the capacity to engage in relationships marked by sincerity and self-determination and training to understand the complex political reality and to enter it in a constructive way.
- It imparts an appreciation of the Indian heritage and enables the students to imbibe their culture and ethos for building a harmonious society, irrespective of differences of faith, language, caste and class and at the same time to remain open to the positive elements of other cultures.
Josephine Mission Statement
The Josephine Mission is to shape persons who are intellectually competent, morally sound, psychologically integrated and imbued with a sense of the Divine, committed to the cause of justice and peace and ever open to further growth. We long to create a human society free from prejudices, superstitions and discriminations based on sex, religion, caste and economic status and characterized by respect for the dignity of the human beings, showing concern for each other especially the underprivileged and marginalised.
St. Joseph is the foster father of Lord Jesus, the one designated by God to take care of the Infant Jesus and the growing Jesus. The Holy Scripture calls Joseph a "Just Man". This Just Man, St. Joseph, was simply, joyfully, whole heartedly obedient to God- in marrying Mary, in providing security and protection to the Infant Jesus even fleeing with them to Egypt to escape the wrath of the then King Herod. St. Joseph was blessed to have died in the presence of Lord Jesus, a privilege every devotee would desire for.
St. Joseph's School entrusts all its students, staff as well as its activities to the Divine care and protection through the intercession of St. Joseph, the Foster Father of Lord Jesus Christ.
